  • Help, I want to make my footage jumpy.

    Hi All,

I’m doing a project that has some 25 year old live (punk band) footage that is fan shot VHS (bad footage), that I’m going to include in some motion titles and transitions.

One idea I’d like to explore is kinda a stop motion effect where it looks like its 6fps. But I want to get rid of those in between frames. In other words it holds on some frames for 5 frames at a time (yes, I want it to be very jumpy). I don’t need to be specific about which frames but would like to give the whole clip this treatment. It still needs to run at 29.97fps so the music will still synch up.

Not sure of the best way to do this so any ideas or suggestion would be greatly appreciated.

    Huge Thanks in advance,
    Jim
