Ugh…I have an mpeg1 file that I need to bring into my timeline but it says it’s not supported.

Can I do this or is there something I need to do beforehand?

    Help!

    MPEG1 should import just fine.

That’s what I thought. I’m running Vegas 4 if that makes any difference…with the most current update.

I get an error that says the format is not supported. I’ve tried to drag and drop like I normally do as well as importing it…

It’s from a stock library, so maybe I’ll just try downloading it again.

Are you importing an mpeg1 file that has been rendered, compressed. So are you dropping this onto a Vegas editing timeline? Then are you going to create a DVD?

Am afraid I am confused. But lately that is quite normal.

It is already rendered, it’s a loop clip from BarnaFilms. I’m trying to drop it in the timeline but it won’t let me. I’m actually just going to create a new mpeg, the clip is just a part of it.

OK, gotcha. Way beyond my expertise.
