  • Help: How to warp a plane so it looks like a piece of paper

Posted by Eric Goldstein on November 25, 2008 at 6:43 pm

    Hi,

I need to warp the contents of a plane so it looks like a piece of paper floating in the air. I’d like to be able to curve the edges of the “paper.”

Any thoughts on how to do this?

    Thanks,

    Eric

    Damn, beat me to it!

    Yep. Zax is the key.

This can also be partially accomplished using Bezier Warp and some fancy expressions. I would still recommend Zaxwerks as it’s more robust. However, if you’re hurting for a solution I might be able to provide a cheaper alternative… don’t worry, it still looks good… most of the time 😉 It takes a fair amount of set up and keyframing to get good motion.
