Help for a Noob
I recently downloaded the 30-day trial of Particle Illusion and I want to be able to import movies from my camera into the program and add thos cool effects. However, whenever I try importing a movie it says it is not a valid Particle Illusion file and when I change the file type to AVI it says ‘Error Initializing AVI’ and then it closes the program.
Can anyone help?

Don’t use “Open” to add a movie — that’s for opening a particleIllusion project file.
The AVI Error is due to the specific format of the AVI — pIllusion doesn’t like too many formats tight now (especially DV AVI). So you’ll need to convert to an AVI format that it likes. I suggest DivX, xvid, or Huffy UV (all available as free downloads)
