  Help! CS3 Pr vs iMovie encoder

  I love my Adobe Creative Suite 3 Master Collection and use it at work and at home daily for stills and video, especially Premiere Pro CS3.
  Can anyone tell me why the encoder from iMovie seems to do a better job than Pr?
  My side-by-side tests – encoding sequences for high-quality broadband streaming video for the Web – get great results with iMovie’s preset encoder for Quicktime but the Pr encoder presets deliver inferior results.
  Also, is the CS4 upgrade really worth another technology chase?
