I prefer Avid, however, Premeire Pro works just as well. In my opinion, I find that wrking with effects and audio in Avid is more user friendly in Avid than Premeire Pro. I use Premeire on a daily basis at work though. Hope that helps……

AVID is the industry standard for Hollywood studios, so if you are planning to work for Hollywod, go with Avid Express Pro but Adobe Premiere and Sony Vegas are great softwares that can do 99% percent of the things Avid does. Also Avid Express is very hardware pickey.
