    Can’t view audio file of avi file. Only can see video but no audio??? do i need a decoder or something.

    Try Shift F5 to regenerate the audio wavefoms.

    What format is the audio?

    Make sure you have the required codec for that audio installed and that Vegas supports that audio format.
