HELP- anyone had a proj. where clips freeze/stutter on both playback and export
any clip with the blue bar over it (modified clip) freezes and holds on the screen. none of my other projects do this with this install of fcp. this particular proj is a telecined super 8 film, not sure why that would matter. the source media is on a firewire drive, and that plays fine without mdofications filters. its just the effected bits.
i thought i was pretty damn smooth with fcp. even for this, i went through my tricks,
– trash prefs
– change render drive
– new admin user acct.
– media manager to a new project
so if anyone has seen this let me know what you figured out. this is an unpaid gig, so i’m hoping to get it wrapped and spend time on actually making it better. i guess the good thing is all my paid work plays fine…. go figure
