Hearing Audio in realtime ?
Hey
I was wondering if theres a way to hear the audio while I move the navigation bar , kinda like in Preimere.
if not .. is there another way to mess with the audio ?
I would hate to use two programs just to edit the audio to the movie..Thanks in advance !

You can hold down the CTRL key (on PC) while dragging the navigation bar. Just tried it myself for the first time.
Sounds very choppy when having a lot of soundlayers and video layers activated at the same time, but seems to works quite nicely with only few tracks active.Good Luck 🙂

Yep — to scrub audio, hold down the ctrl key (cmd on mac) as you move the current-time indicator (CTI). It’s in the help under keyboard shortcuts>keys for previewing.
You may find AE problematic for audio editing, since you can’t cut to an interval smaller than the comp’s frame duration (e.g. 1/30 of a second).

BTW, the scrubbing is smoother when you hit Caps Lock to prevent the updating of the comp window. That is, if you don’t mind not seeing the visuals. 🙂

Thanx for the tip, I’m still really new to After Effects, read about the CapsLock thing just few days ago in a book I have, but forgot all about it already 🙂
