    Hi,

I am looking for a pair of headphones to wear in the edit – when I have to.

I’ve tried the Sony MDR-750s, but they grip too tight on my ears, which hurt after an hour or so.

Any other suggestions for an over/round-the ear set that is limited as the Sony ones are? Don’t want to end up blasting my ear-drums every time I import a music track into the Avid and forget to bring the level down before I play it!

    TIA

    Tim

What about earbuds instead, like the etymotic brand?

YOU’LL HAVE TO TYPE LOUDER; IT’S NOISY HERE.

Think I’d rather have cans than in-ear ones.

Ultrasone makes some velvety, comfy headphones. They sound nice, too.

today, ear buds are your friend int he suite and in the field.
    I just use one.

…but then I’m deaf in one ear so I only need one. 😉

AKG K240 series. Light weight, and big, soft, comfy over-the-ear cushions on the phones themselves. The cord is rather slender and lightweight, though looping it over the driver housing to make a strain relief will help with any fragility issues.
