Head Leader on FCP Install DVD don’t work?
Hi, I want to put an academy leader in front of a clip and after hours of search I haven’t really found anything useful. It needs to be for PAL 25fps video. I read here in the forum that on the extras folder of the Final Cut Pro Install DVD there are supposed to be quicktime files, but if I open the folder “Head Leaders for Cinema Tools” I only get the two folders “Leader Clip” and “Leader Project”. The leader clip folder has only “Unix Executable Files” in them, also they are labeled, pal, ntsc, etc. The leader project folder has a cinema tools project in them but if i want to open it with cinema tools nothing happes.
Can someone tell me how I am supposed to use those clips or give me a link where I can download a pal countdown leader? I actually need it pretty soon now, so I don’t have time to create my own anymore.

That may be a wrong “File Finder Info”.
Left click and “Open with..QT” or set the “.mov” extension to see if they are QT files.

Thank you so much that did it! I just had to change the extension to .mov and it worked!

A bit of maintenance will be very convenient for your system and HDs.
This kind of errors prevents your computer to work at full performance.
Repair Permissions and run something like Diskwarrior or TechTools to optimize your system/HDs.
You will feel the difference as soon as you try it.
