We are getting a RF warning during the last 5 mins of tape time. Rarely do I see any error going to tape while watching playback, but I was wondering if there is a fix for this distracting error?

Sounds like dirty heads. May want to consider a professional cleaning.

An RF warning can mean dirty/clogged heads. We have a head cleaning tape that we only run when we have this issue and that has worked the very few times we’ve needed it. If the issue persists then I agree with Chris that a professional head cleaning could be in order.

Since you talk about it being in the last few minutes of tape it might also be a tension issue. If you have it in for cleaning make sure they check tape path as well. Might be time for bands etc.

That’s what I was thinking. Thanks for the info.
