    Can anyone tell me how to get to the engineering level on the HDX900.

    I need to correct a pixel drop out.

    Did you try the Black Balance reset first? Press and hold down the Black balance switch until it finishes it’s cycle. That might fix your issue. Try that first.

    Thanks Ernie, I got a hold of a copy of the service manual. The pixel dropout was to large,I had to use the blemish compensation function to pick the exact piont and enlarge the compensation target. The black balance/black shading feature is the final step mask the error in the chip before writing the service data.
