HDV to SD DVD
Please help with any tips or suggestions.
I am trying to get my HD project on the FCP timeline onto a SD DVD. I have followed the white paper article on KenStone.net here…
https://www.kenstone.net/fcp_homepage/hdv_timeline_to_sd_dvd.htmlKen Stone’s suggestion involves exporting the HD timeline to Apple Pro Res 422 using Quictime conversion. Then dropping the .mov file into Compressor to create seperate A/V files (m2v and ac3) Finally drop the A/V files into DVDSP and all should be well.
I tried it and the following error pops up…. “HVDVD_TS found in Build Location The Build location contains a HVDVD_TS folder (HD DVD content). You must remove the HVDVD_TS folder from the Build location in order to proceed with Build/Format of a Standard DVD project”
Then I posted on the KenStone forums where I received the suggestion to create a DVD that contains a Video_TS folder and not a HVDVD_TS folder.
https://www.kenstone.net/discussions/read.php?3,4268,4268#msg-4268I do not know how to go about exporting my HD project to ensure a Video_TS folder will result in the final to bring into DVDSP. I read some forum articles on Creative Cow where good results were had by dropping a HD timeline into a newly created SD timeline in FCP. I tried this most recently, when I tried to burn the project in DVDSP onto a DVD-r it gave the same HVDVD_TS error mentioned above.
Any help would be highly appreciated.
Thanks
