HDV to ProRes in Seguence settings
I am producing a feature documentary, shot in many formats both SD and HD. The doc also includes about 15% green screen. I have been editing with my sequence set to HDV settings up to this point because at this point, this has been my highest resolution so far. My question is, in the future, can I copy my sequences and paste them in a new sequence using PRO RES without any big problems other than having to render out this new sequence If I do this, is there going to be any problems with the green screen parts of the sequence? All the green screen were shot in HDV with a green screen background (it looks great having shot on HDV). If I decide to do this new sequence in PRORES, what settings should I use for frame size etc. Thanks in advance.

You dont have to do this. In your Render Settings you can set it so that all your renders are done in ProRes. Your footage without effects will remain HDV and not need to be rendered. Much more efficient that way.

Open up the sequence setting of your HDV sequence and change the compressor to ProRes. Render and get on with it.
