    HDV to PAL conversion

    I’m doing a short project for my wife’s aunt & her client is in China. I shot some video of some cows & they’ll be editing it in Hong Kong to show in China. I shot it on a US version Canon XH-A1 (HDV) and they want it in 16:9 720×576 (AVI) to show in China. I captured it from the camera at full rez 1440X1080 1080i60 29.97fps. I’m working on Final Cut Pro 5.1.4 and I have Compressor 2.3.1. Any ideas on how to give them what they’re looking for with what I have?

    Not an option for this one project. Can Compressor get me close?

    set the reframing controls for highest quality.

    I’ve only ever done the presets. Do I select one of the advanced format conversions? If so which one? How do I then set the reframing controls for highest quality? I’m new to anything but basic stuff on Compressor.
