Can i import my HDV footage from my JVC GY-HD200 as DVCProHD?

You can.
You need a black magic design or aja capture card to do this.
capture over component with your easy setup for dvcpro-hd and
it will transcode it on the fly. This is a highly reliable
and problem free work flow.
