HDV to Beta SP anamorphic
Posted by Jim Fleming on September 4, 2009 at 8:12 pmI’m trying to lay off my HDV widescreen timeline to Beta SP. It’s to be broadcast !6:9, so it’s anamorphic, tall and skinny on a 4:3 monitor. But there are subtle horizontal lines on the video, making it look a bit pixellated. Field issue? De-interlace?
Thanks,

September 4, 2009 at 11:30 pmI’ve looked at it on both. I’m wondering if it’s a shortcoming of the particular Blackmagic card I have on this machine. I’m going to put it into a standard def timeline and lay it off that way.

September 5, 2009 at 5:17 pmUnfortunately, I’ve never had good luck with Blackmagic cards. The AJA Konas are worth every single penny.
