    apparently i shot in HDV-SD60p? had previously never heard of this setting, but alas it is what happened. i’m having trouble capturing into latest version of FCP, anybody know the settings i need for this? or any ideas? i’d appreciate it. thanks

    Never heard of that format, are you sure it isn’t 60i DV? That you would just capture via FireWire.

    This is a “special” setting on the JVC HD100U camera that has since
    not been included on later models.

    It’s not really supported but it does look gorgeous for SD video.

    The only way I’m aware of is to capture it with D-VHS cap.
    It’s part of the apple firewire sdk. google it and you can
    find it, its free.

    then transcode it with mpeg stream clip (another great free app)
    into a codec that works in fcp.

    Thats the only option I’m aware of.
