    Hello 🙂

i have several Prblems with HDV-Projects with AE, Premiere and Dynamic Link

    meanwhile I found that:
    – a HDV-Clip captured in Premiere has more frames before the desired IN-Point than shown in Premiere.
    – if You copy/paste HDV-Clips from Premiere or Import a Premiere Project into AE the IN-Point is placed correct BUT from the beginning of the clip. Which then is wrong as there are more frames.
    – The OUT-Point is correct in Premiere and After Effects
    – A HDV-Clip has to be interpreted SQUARE PIXELS to be shown correct in AE. Should be 1.33. Strange.
    – Very long HDV Clips (maybe half an hour) that are brought into AE. Are completely out of sync or don’t play at all.

So all in all I wonder:
    – Why does AE offer HDV Import at all ? Makes the whole dynamic link thing kind of senseless if your editing in HDV in Premiere and want to work on some clips in AE.
    – Is it a known Bug and are there solutions ?
    – If AE would know that “real” IN-Point of clips used in Premiere things would be better.

So any ideas, experiences or confirmations are welcome 🙂

    Thanks

    Peter
