hdv loading into G5
I have a Sony V1U I’ve loaded video in the hdv format onto my G5 before. no problem.
I recently loaded the crossgrade 5.1 that Apple put out. I don’t know if it had any effect on my problem or not but, now I connect my camera to the computer via the firewire…. I have complete camera controls, roll stop and all that. but I do not see any video in the log and capture window. I had a Z1 at one point before the upgrade and it worked fine.
Has there been a change that I have to deal with as far as settings? Sorry I do not use an AJA or any thing else to get the video into my G5.
Also sorry if this has been addressed but I couldn’t find it in the search.Thanks

i am having same issues as a matter of fact but with the Z1u….i tried calling apple customer support but they need some sort of Support Authorization code to help…i’m willing to pay the $200.00 for them to go through all the steps….however i don’t have that as i got FCP from someone else…thoughts?

If you have a direct phone number without going thru transfer after transfer after transfer. I can try to call them.
