  HDV live capture Sync issues

  I’ve been live capturing HDV to a computer through firewire using FCP 5.4.1, I’m also recording on tape on the camera as a Backup.
  The setup is as follows On the camera (JVC HD100) the timecode is set to free run. On the computer the settings are to capture as 720-30p HDV.
  It works well for the most part, but in some random clips the sound is out of sync.
  Any idea as to how to prevent this from happening. I’d rather not deal with digitizing the tapes as it creates too many time code errors and gaps.
