HDV into FCP capturing a tape without ‘scene’ breaks

That’s good news – it’s been a major sticking point with FCP5 looks like Apple have been listening and they’ve fixed it!
Could you please post your success with this at the end of your other posts on the HDV forum and on here. It’s a bit tedious but it means that people who search this problem in the future will be able to find the answer easily.

Not sure if this applies to the timecode issue here, but there is a “Quick Record” setting on the Sony Z1U cam that when active, will break timecode. Turn it off in the menus and try that.
