I have cut together a 2 min sequence in FCP 5.1.4 (HDV footage shot on Canon A1) The timeline looks great, and when I play the complete sequence back in FCP it all looks and sounds great – all in sync as well.
When I export this project out – to make a Qtime it’s cutting some shots off and adding it’s own header from the next shot in timeline. So, some shots become a hair out of sync. The audo is fine, just picture head and tails keep shifting.

    I’m exporting at Apple HDV 1080p24, 1440X1080, at 23.98

    Any idea?

    Thanks,
    james

When you say exporting for QTime I’m assuming you’re not using compressor?

If so have you checked the settings thoroughly? As it may be using its own markers.

If it’s appropriate use compressor, it’s so much more flexible and is not that complex once you get into it.
