HDV digitizing Non-Drop/Drop issue BIG PROBLEM
Here is the issue: I have a project that has been logged in HDV via firewire. I’m now trying to digitize the HDV footage. I’m getting a error that says “Unable to locate timecode” Looking at the clips in the browser I can see that they are Non-Drop frame because there is a colon in between the second & frames but, when the capture window is opened when I batch capture, the timecode in the upper right corner above the video screen has a semi-colon. I’m not sure what to do or what to look for or what might have accidently changed.
Any suggestions?

What FC version are you running? Has the deck been used for any DV capturing between this project, if so make sure the setting are correct to output HDV over firewire and in doing so the firewire cable needs to be disconnected before any changes will take effect.
Have you tried capture now and what is the timecode captured as this way?Good Luck

I think you may be confused… a “semicolon” indicates Drop, not “nondrop”.

I’m having the same problem as am searching for information here on the cow.
2 days ago I brought in my drop-frame footage via firewire and now I want to recapture using HDV from my Z1U. When I select the clip and see the duration of the clip is 47;30;00 in length then try to batch digitize the clip again, it things the new clip is over 48:00:00 in length.I’m going to manually redigitize using the settings I had on the SD version of the clips and reconnect them manually as well.
