HDV – Decklink HD – Playback – Storage
Hi,
what are the storage requirements for native HDV playback via Final Cut Pro 5 and Decklink HD… (HD-SDI out)? SATA or FC RAID subsystem? I know fast storage is recommended for uncompressed HD playback but not for compressed footage like HDV or DVCPRO HD.Thanks,

Internal SATA drive would be fast enough, but you obviously get better performance with RAID systems.
I’ve actually cut native HDV using the system drive on my G5 i-mac
