I’m an avid user growing tired of waiting for 720 25/50 support. I am researching other options such as Adobe Prod suite…

Our JVC HDV gear isn’t being used for what its built for!

A little research shows me it seems to be a bit of a nightmare capturing hdv from tape? how are things going hdv-wise generally in premiere and indeed how are you finding the whole production suite? it does sound, well, suite!!!

    Thanks…

Dunno about Premiere, but the general consensus is that all HDV sucks in machine control.
    It’s dog slow…
So if you want to be productive, ingest entire tapes. Even forget about TC if you can, as TC breaks will be a nightmare too… (now if you do not use TC, you got other problems 🙂

HDV in Premiere is great with the Cineform AspectHD plugin.
We’re running this with a Sony HDV box, and the results are impressive.
