    There is no blackmagic HDV codec!

    I’m sorry I meant “easy Setup”. I’m new to FCP.
    I read that the Blackmagic setup allows you to monitor it via the Decklink card but are there any pros or cons to this setup vs Apple’s

    Hi There,

    well that is the only way you can output HDV
    to a broadcast monitor at present, so this is a big Pro.

    the esy setup just sets the playbakc video to blackmagic card nothing more
