    Hi All,

I have footage shot in HDV on the HDR-Z1U that I am trying to capture into FCExpress via firewire from a Canon XH-A1 (camera). Had no problems loading footage from these tapes on a Sony cam (which was here on rental), but coming from the Canon my project will not go in to HDV/Apple Intermedite Codec Mode from Easy setup…

    Questions:

    1. Since I had no probems loading from the Sony (which was on rental) is this a compatability issue?

    or

    2. Did I miss some weird update?

    or

    3. Should I just edit this in DVCPro-50, which is what the capture in the project is reverting to, although the footage I captured, in this project, from the Sony Cam, came in as AIC…(getting to that point; it’s just interviews but the HDV does look nice) or upgrade to FCP?

Have you gone through all the menus on the camera? I’m not familiar with that one, but most of these HDV cameras can output HD or SD depending on how they’re set. I’m wondering if the camera is sending out the wrong signal.
