I’m trying to capture HDV footage from my Sony FX1 and Final Cut seems to be having some issues with it. When I go to capture, the preview window pops up but I do not see the image from the camera. It just says “CUEING TAPE” and sits there while the tape plays fine on the camera.

I tried changing all my sequence settings and audio/video settings but now I’m afraid I’ve screwed it all up. Can someone steer me in the right direction? Thanks

Is the camera set to play out HDV or DV?

Actually, now that I think about it, I do remember my friend using my camera to capture DV set footage and I believe he may have changed a setting. Do you happen to know where I can find this setting on a Sony FX1 by chance? Thanks for the help!

    -Press the menu button.
-Toggle down to the fourth selection (icon of 2 arrows, 1 pointing left one pointing right)
    – Set VCR HDV/DV to HDV
