I am capturing 1080i60 off my Sony HDV camera and when I do a capture now, it breaks the clip up into 50 different segments and is constantly searching for media during the capture. It only captures around 2 minutes of the actual clip. My easy setup is HD and then HDV 1080i60 FireWire Basic. I am running 6.0.4

    Can anyone help?

    Thanks

    Eric

FireWire Basic is for Canon. Try regular FireWire for device control.

I tried that as well, but it still searches for media during the capture. There are no timecode breaks and the clip was continuous with no starts or stops on the record.

Is Start/Stop detection turned off? If so, it sounds like a bad tape.

This isn’t always true, some Sony decks need to use Firewire Basic.

I’ve encountered the same problem. I don’t know why it happens, but I tried capturing with a deck and had no problems whatsoever. The problem seems to be capturing via the camera.
