I’m having difficulities Batch Capturing HDV 1080i footage via firewire…I’ve logged about 15 tapes and now am unable to Batch Cap…Error locating Timecode or Break in timecode detected…

I’ve done some research here and haven’t found a solution can anyone suggest how to avoid this timecode issue??

    Things i’ve tried:
prepared pre/post roll to correct time
told FCP to “warn after capture” on timecode breaks
told FCP to “make new Clip” on break
determined footage to be NonDrop Frame

    FCP 6.0.2
    OSx Leopard
    Sony HDV deck via firewire

which easy setup are you using?

I had the same issue capturing from a Sony V1U.

I had to use “HDV Firewire Basic” instead of “Sony HDV 1080i”

I’m using the “HDV Firewire” setup I’m now trying to use the “HDV NDF” for device control and keeping my fingers crossed…

The Sony HDV deck that I’m using sets up the presets for me. so I didn’t think that I needed to change that but it seems to be working better than before…I’ll let you know when/if I’m completed…thanks for the response.

you don’t have “HDV 1080i firewire” basic?

    That should definitely work.

Your saying the deck itself loads your easy setup?

I don’t think NDF is going to work as most HDV
    cams are default to DF.

But if it works it works.
