    HDV .AVI to .MOV at Highest Quality

    Hi

    I’m looking for some advice about the best workflow to use in order to use the following footage on a big screen with little or no loss of quality.

    The footage was recorded using an HD (HDV1080i) Mini DVD Camcorder, and is now one AVI file.

    I’m know I need to convert to Quicktime .mov first, what would be the best setting to do this losslessly, Animation, 8 Bit Uncompressed or Apple Jpeg etc?

    ProRes 422 or ProRes LT is the perfect solution. Make sure you are using a FW 800 external HD.
