    Aloha,

How do I get AEPro 6.5 to interpret 1080i HDV footage from a Sony HDR-FX1 camera captured into FCP5 correctly. AE thinks it is 1920×1080 with 1.33:1 pixels. Shouldn’t it be 1440×1080 with 1.33:1 pixels? I wouldn’t care if the footage looked good, but it looks like crap on an AE timeline. It is stretched wrong in a 1920×1080 square pixel timeline and very blocky. If I view the orginal footage on a FCP5 timeline, in Quicktime player, or tell AE to open footage it looks great. We have double and triple checked ALL our AE settings.

Bottom line is the raw footage looks great, but an AE comp looks like crap.

Any recomendations would be greatly appreciated.

    Mahalo,
    Dusty
