    Hi Folks

I’m been looking at some HDR pics in Photoshop and was really impressed with the quality. Specifically, I was tweaking the exposure parameters and got all sorts of nice versions of the images.

To my surprise, this was not the case when I later tried to tweak the same exposure parameter in AE7. Any ideas of what I’m missing here?

    Thanks in advance,
    Mike

Are you working in 32 bpc? Results in lower bit depths will look incorrect. Also make sure to have proper color profiles in place.

Well, what I’m trying to do is work in 32 bit and output to standard 8 bit. What would be the way to set that up?

I’ll have a look at your site.
    Thanks a lot,

    Mike

Use the Compander and possibly a standard broadcast output profile (SMPTE) to get better colors.
