I am curious if anyone knows the difference between these two types of HDMI connections. I looked on wiki and it seems that 4K is the difference but anything else i am missing? From what I have read 1.4 is better for CG type work and is 4K?!

I have been looking into monitoring solutions for Broadcast & Film work using FCP, Color, AE, C4D, etc

    Any info would be great.

HDMI 1.4 supports frame packing, which allows full frame rate, full-resolution stereoscopic 3D.

HDMI 1.3 does not, so stereo 3D reduces resolution (line interleaved, top over bottom, or side-by-side).
