Considering to purchase both the above products. All the information that I saw about the HDLink for HD monitoring relates to the 23″ display. Has anyone used this product on the 30″? Does the entire screen gets used or does the footage only appear on the screen in it’s native resolution and the surrounding area being black? Please advise.

Doesn’t work with the 30″. I think you need the Multibridge Extreme for that.

    Hi,

The connectors on the HDLink is a single link DVI-D. The 30″ Cinema Display requires a dual link DVI-D display so they are not compatible.

    Kristian,

Tx for the info (and prompt reply). Sean mentioned that the Multibridge Extreme supports 30″. Does the image of the video (both SD & HD) gets scaled to the full size of the monitor? Please advise.

    Cheers,

    Hi Robin,

When displaying SD video, the Multibridge Extreme will scale to the full height of the 30″ display. However, you will get black bars on the side of the screen as the aspect ratios are different.
