Hi!, I’ve a SRW-5500 in 720 50p configuration and I don’t know what the problem but I can’t capture from the deck, because only 720p 24,30 is supported for the varicam. But with HDCAM-SR I only can work in 720 at 50p or 60p. conclusion I can’t work with BD drivers…

Luke what i need to do for editing at 720 50p?, It’s very important for me, it’s a big project.

    Thanks!!

As a work-around… you could set the Frame Convertor on the SRW to 1080-50i and then work in 1080 instead of 720p.

I’ve all the material at 720 50p, and I can’t capture at this frame rate!. And my HDCAM-SR doesn’t have the converter option installed for converting to 1080i, and I don’t want this because I need progressive footage for key and slow motions

I don’t understand the problem for capture 50p, I thinks the problems is only the driver.

Thanks for your reply!, but I can work only at 720 50p

You should be able to work in 60p at least there is a control preset for that

I update the drivers and i can work at 60p, but I need 50p because all the footage was captured at 50p, and I’m from a pal country. And the transfer from 50->60 is no so good. Why 60p and no 50p? I think that is a disvantage for the europeans, or is a hardware problem?

    Thanks!

Are you working in Final Cut?

I think it doesn’t support 50p. (I was told, and hate it too).

From the apple pages this comes up:

    HD at 1080i 50/60, 1080p 23.98/24, and 720p 23.98/30/60

    No 50p…

    Hi,

We do not support 720p50 as yet. Also, Final Cut Pro does not as well.

[Jose Miguel] “Thanks for your response!, can I work with premiere?”

Kristian says BM doeb’t support 50p..

This is going to be an issue in PAL-land.
