HD video from FCP to SD video to Vegas editor
The company I work for shoots all of our video in HD. We have a client that is now requesting to edit from our tapes but they are using Vegas to edit and can’t read the capture files we sent them. Is there a way we can re export the capture files so that they are in SD and a codec that Vegas will understand?

First you would have to know what codec your client can use. Ask them. If you have the codec installed, you can run the footage through compressor and convert it to that codec. If you don’t currently have it, you may be able to purchase it, assuming that there’s a Mac equivalent.
