  HD to SD with DeckLink Studio 2 and DeckLink SDI

  Hi All,

  Quick question (at least I hope it’s quick). I have to do a down-convert of some HD material for DVD and was told to do a tower-to-tower hardware downconvert.

  I have a Cheese-Grater MacPro with the DeckLink Studio 2 installed and a similar MacPro with a DeckLink SDI installed. A quick googling showed that only the Studio 2 does hardware down-conversion, not the SDI.

  So my question is, can someone walk me through the setup process for this?

  I was told all I needed to do was simply set the right settings and then do a capture in Final Cut Pro but knowing what those settings are is where I’m a bit confused. Not to mention it seems like there’s setting in FCP I have to set as well.

  Any help would be greatly appreciated!
