HD Sound mismatch issue
Im editing in CS3 Premiere Pro…
I have had two instances where an HD MPEG clip created a unique problem for me.
We are shooting on Canon XH A1…
After Uploading the tape the program goes through the conform process and returns the message “error detected around frame XXX. Replaced with XXX red frames”.Thats not so much an issue as what happens next…the program starts the Audio portion of the track over at the beginning of the clip and runs it concurrently with video that is now hopelessly mismatched and missing several minutes of audio from the end of the clip.
Normally we capture on a seperate DAT recorder so that’s not a big deal in those instances. My concern is when we run audio directly into the camera.
Now, this issue only exists in Premiere as the original clip I can play in Media Player and the audio is as it should be, but I can’t edit in Media Player and regardless of what I do, i get the same result in Premeiere. I have deleted preview and macc files and everything else that I thought might reference the odd clip to no avail. I can find no setting that relates to this issue in Premiere.
Any thoughts? I’d like to solve this problem before it becomes a critical issue.
Thank you!
