I’m going to be shooting some footage of a juggling competition to be incorporated into a live telecast on ESPN3. These will be competition highlight segments so they don’t have to match the exact look of the live telecast which will use different and better cameras. I’ll be shooting with the Panasonic AG-HMC150 and was wondering what the best setting to use would be to then down convert to SD widescreen. My initial thought is either 1080 60i or 720 60p. I’ve read that interlaced video is best for fast action sports, which this is. But I also want to be able to produce good quality slow motion and I won’t always have the option to shoot in the slow motion setting.

So considering this needs to down convert to SD Widescreen to be telecast online and through Xbox 360 onto flatscreen tvs (most likely) what would be the best HD setting?
