HD SDI freezing
HI,
I have been experiencing video lock ups using the Decklink HD Extreme 3 card. I would play a file out using the new V2 player and it will play fine for a while. After a random amount of time the video will freeze. I thought it was locking up but turns out it isn’t as after a while it starts playing again.
It isn’t the source files either as sometimes it will get through the whole clip with no problem.
The clips i am using are vary in length with the longest at 48m and 339GB.
I am using a G-Speed Es Pro 6TB drive to playout from.
Using windows media player i am able to playout the files without any issues with freezing video.
I have also updated all of the drivers that are on the PC and the Decklink has the latest firmware.
Does anyone have a solution for this?

What formats are the clips in? Uncompressed? MJEPG?

They are uncompressed clips.

I have found the problem and it seems to be one of the hard disks in my array is playing up.

I just caught your post from a year ago and I have a question. From your post I am assuming that you are able to play a file in Windows Media Player out through SDI to a monitor – is that correct? I am looking for a way to view material using WMP out to an HD-SDI monitor for QC purposes. Can you tell me what SDI card you are using?Thanks,
