HD Screening Format
Not sure if this belongs in the FCP forum but you guys tend to know your stuff.
I’m getting ready to screen a short film in HD soon. I am going to show it on a 720p LCD and then later on a 1080p LCD. I was thinking I would bring my MacBook Pro 2.4GHz w/4GB RAM and either play the file off of the internal drive or a portable external. I’ll be connecting to the screens via DVI to HDMI adapter.The online master of the movie will be a 1080p TIFF sequence, exported out of AE so obviously playing that won’t be an option.
My question is this: What do you folks think is the best and most economical (in terms of size and playability) compressed format I should use?
Don’t be afraid to be very specific.
