HD rendering – Proper settings, Size – Out of disk space
Hi,
Just moving to HD and attempted to render a 70 minute concert video in HD (1920×1080) using an i7 processor.
It was going along great until about 90% complete – ran out of disk space. The rendered file was 280G!!!!
What are good settings for rendering HD?
In this case, I record concerts, mix in a separate audio track, simple, simple edits and just need to produce a quick good quality HD disc.

Are you trying to create a Blu-ray disc? If so, use one of the Blu-ray templates under the Main Concept MPEG2 or Sony AVC renderers.

I tried using the Blueray templates.
The good news is that the resulting file was only 10G.
The bad news is that the resulting m2v file had no audio???? tried 3 times and nothing there.

This is because DVD and Blu-ray work with elemental streams. M2V is a video stream. Then you must render the audio separately as Dolby Digital AC3 and get the .ac3 file. You feed both of these files to DVD Architect to author your Blu-ray disc.
