HD PVR MP4 files are cropped to the top left corner in Sony Vegas
So i had the same problem like this guy but he said he resolved it but didn’t put how.
https://forums.creativecow.net/thread/24/932709#932709im recording from my hdpvr and for some reason i cant record as M2ts or ts or my sony vegas freezes. So i have to use Mp4 but when i put my mp4 file in it only shows a quarter of the screen.
right now im recording in 1280 x 720 but when i check properties then media in vegas it says the size of the video is 720×480. im using SV9 btw.

Vegas 9 had some problems, I went back to Vegas 8 until Vegas 10 came out. It works flawlessly with HD-PVR recorded 1080i and 720p video.
You might try Vegas 10 trial, it can be installed while Vegas 9 is also installed. -
i have ten now and it still crashes for anything other than mp4 files and i know its not cause my computer is slow because i run after effects just fine. is there any soloution to the video being cropped?
