Hello, I just shot an event with 2 cameras. A Sony FX-1 shooting 1080i and a JVC 200 shooting 720p. I am going to edit on a stock Mac Book Pro withe 2 gigs of ram and only the cameras to serve for importing. Please tell me how to approach this to deliver it as an blue ray disc in the end.
    Thanks!!!

If you have an AJA Kona 3 or LHi this is easy. You convert one of those formats during ingest so you end up with either all 1080 or all 720 for the edit. This is what we do.

If not, you’ll need to use something like Compressor to cross convert one of those formats. Not the most clean way of doing this.

Si I bring in the footage as let’s say 720p and then put it in compressor with the output being 1080i?
    Thanks Walter!

I’ve never tried this method. I’ve heard of other people using it. It won’t be as clean as what the Kona boards can do, but supposedly it works.
