    Question 1:

Will a Panasonic 1200a VTR output a anamorphically squeezed downcovert of HD footage? Meaning we want to take some HD100 1080/59.94i footage and use it in SD 16×9 project. The manual mentions a HV squeeze but was unsure of it’s application.

    Question 2:

Is 1080/59.94i the right choice for easy mixing with SD NTSC interlaced content? As far as the downcovert goes, I suspect it is fine. But we may also way to get the full resolution HD into After Effects projects to combine with SD elements for SD anamoprhic 16×9 output. Once again DVCPro HD Doable?

I thought about 720p but was concerned with adding pulldown to the 24P variation or other conversion of the 60p to interlace via software like After Effects. Any enlightenment here?
