    Hi:

I have been reluctant to upgrade Production Studio because CS4 is not a 64 bit application, at least not yet.

I recently got a Canon HV30 and couldn’t resist trying to play around with some HDV footage in Premier Pro 2.0

First, I’m not sure which DV format I should make the project. I have tried it a couple of ways, but when I bring in the HDV footage, Premier shows is as unlinked. No matter what I seem to do.

The mpg will play fine on Windows media, etc. And its really in high-def, at least HDV hi-def which I think is something like 1440×1080 (??)

Anyway HDV seemed like the safest way to go because that standard has been around awhile. Supposedly I should be able to import and edit this footage in Premier (actually I have Production Studio) CS2. So far, no luck. Any ideas would be appreciated!

    Thanks,

    Dave

[David Sapadin] “format I should make the project”
If you shot the video in 1080/30(60i) just use the appropriate HDV preset, if you shot 1n one of the other modes you have to download the Adobe Ppro ver2 update for Canon progressive modes
