When I try to compress 720 or 1080 HD footage to a 16:9 DVD, Media Encoder always adds a slight pillarbox to the footage. This happens with any HD stuff, whether it’s a Quicktime movie or even things like an HD After Effects project. Is there any way to get Media Encoder to stop doing that, and just stretch the video to the dimensions I want instead of trying to be “smart?”

Attached is a screen shot of 1080p footage pillarboxed in the Output preview.

Ever figure out a solution to this? It’s happening to me right now too.
